Peter Mayland
CEO - Peter has been a senior school leader for nearly 20 years and a Headteacher in two secondary schools. He has worked in five schools (including two academies) in four different authorities. He has provided extensive support as a SLE while working in a National Teaching School.
Since taking up the headship at Albany Academy he has provided in depth support to another secondary school as a Local Leader of Education, linked to St John Bosco’s Teaching School Alliance.
Peter’s relevant qualifications include; BSc (Hons), PGCE, NPQH, SSAT executive headteacher training.

Linda Burrows
EXEC HEAD - Linda is an experienced primary headteacher who has held a senior leader position for the past 15 years. Linda has lead improvement as headteacher in two schools, helping transform her previous school from special measures to outstanding.
At Chorley New Road she again has lead significant improvement in all areas, and at the same time had a key role in the design of the school and management of the move into the new £5.9 million building which opened in 2019.
Linda is an EFA mentor for SSAT, supporting Secondary schools and she has recently completed the NPQEL with Ambition Institute.

Christine Shaw
HR MANAGER - In 2020, Christine was appointed HR Manager for Albany Learning Trust, building on her previous HR background in Higher Education working as a personnel and payroll officer whilst completing a BA hons degree in Business and Human Resource Management.
Her previous broad experience also includes a variety of roles and businesses including Sales, manufacturing, finance and Local Authority.
Christine is also Company Secretary and has worked on incorporation of Albany Academy, MAT conversion and the continued growth of the Multi Academy Trust.

Stacey Dean

James Hothersall
ICT NETWORK MANAGER - James has over 16 years of experience of Managing and Supporting ICT in schools.
He has a strong interest in using new technologies to deliver and enhance Teaching and Learning.
He has worked in three different secondary schools in Lancashire and more recently worked for a support company as Trust Network Manager for two Academy Trusts (six and four academies).
He has coordinated major projects involving new building, upgrading ICT and aligning technologies within an Academy Trust . He works hard to avoid getting into Technical Debt.
